As the saying goes, business starts with acquaintances first, and Southeast Asia, which is also Asia, is the first region where China's trucks go abroad to achieve phased victories. It is reported that nearly half of Vietnam's truck market is owned by our country, and together with Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Malaysia and other countries, it accounts for about 60% of China's total truck exports.

 

The number of trucks exported to Africa accounts for more than 20% of the total, which is the second largest export area of trucks in my country, and is mainly distributed in Angola, Algeria, Nigeria, Tanzania, Morocco, Ghana and other countries. In addition, affected by national conditions and economic factors, second-hand Chinese trucks have a wide market in Africa.

The remaining less than 20% of the share is divided into Latin America and Europe. Among them, Latin America is a new market for Chinese trucks formed in recent years, accounting for 15%, representing countries such as Chile, Ecuador, and Argentina; while Europe's own auto industry is already very developed, and it is difficult for Chinese trucks to gain a foothold there. From a geographical point of view, Southeast Asia is adjacent to China and has certain export convenience. The transportation environment and transportation needs are similar. In addition, there are many Chinese in Southeast Asia, and trade interactions are frequent, so the demand will naturally not be small; from the perspective of economic construction, China The aid program to Africa and various infrastructure projects of the Belt and Roadhave also brought new opportunities for Chinese trucks to develop overseas markets, especially the demand for construction vehicles and tractors.

According to data from the Customs and the China Automobile Association, in 2018, my country exported a total of 206,307 trucks, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%; in 2019, a total of 213,597 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%; in 2020, a total of 195,264 trucks were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 8.6%; 367,782 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 88%.

It can be seen that due to the impact of the epidemic, the export volume of China's trucks has declined in 2020, and in 2021, when the epidemic has eased, the export volume of China's trucks has increased significantly and hit a new high in the past 10 years.

On the one hand, because the epidemic has eased economic recovery, logistics operations, and projects have resumed work, the demand for trucks in some countries has surged; on the other hand, trucks are a rigid demand in the freight market.
